The project “NIKDERA – Nikopol District Emergency Relief Assistance for conflict-affected population” is implemented by the Representative Office of Hilfswerk International in Ukraine and Hilfswerk International (Austria) with the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
Our goal is to improve the mental health and well-being of those affected by the war in Ukraine. We support internally displaced persons, returnees, and local residents by providing comprehensive mental health and psychosocial support. We promote social integration and protection and provide necessary food and non-food items, as well as services for people with disabilities
To improve the resilience and well-being of internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, local residents, and persons with reduced mobility affected by the war, we will:

FEEDBACK FROM BENEFICIARIES
Olena with her daughter Maria (3 years old) from Pokrov
I learned about Help Point from a friend. I couldn’t even imagine that during the war I would find so many useful things for myself and my daughter here. I did yoga, and now I am taking a series of classes in a group with a psychologist called “My True Self.” I realised that I need to take care of myself, and I am learning how to restore my resources. I have become more confident. My daughter and I attend creative classes and sand therapy. We are grateful that you exist; your place is very cosy!

Oleksandr (11 years old, mother is in the military). Kozachi Laheri village, Kherson region
I missed my home, but then I found out that there is a place in Pokrov where I can do what I like and communicate with children like me. I attend all the computer literacy classes and was very happy to find out that there is a 3D printer. I am learning to model and already print things myself. I feel good and calm here.

Ivan Petrovich (63), Avdiivka, Donetsk region.
I attended a group therapy session with a psychologist, which helped me reduce my anxiety and talk about my problems. I am very grateful for the Mobile Assistant classes; the knowledge and advice I gained have significantly improved my life. I believe that such a project has a right to exist and is very helpful to us.
