PORUCH.PROSTIR

A place where people can come together, become part of a community, and take part in activities that help them engage with their neighbors. This place is located in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Our goal is to improve the livelihoods and well-being of women, men, girls, and boys affected by conflict in Ukraine. We focus on reducing gender inequalities and addressing gender-specific needs.

Poruch.Prostir was established within the framework of the project “Neighborhood Center for Conflict-Affected People in Western Ukraine”, implemented by the Representative Office of Hilfswerk International in Ukraine with the financial support of the “Nachbar in Not” fund and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  • To uphold the rights and dignity of conflict-affected individuals by preventing and addressing gender-based violence, as well as responding to gender-specific needs.
  • To enhance the mental health and psychosocial well-being of conflict-affected women, men, girls, and boys.
  • To support the participation of conflict-affected and displaced children in informal educational activities.
  • To strengthen livelihoods and income-generating opportunities, with a focus on women’s economic empowerment

GRANT SUPPORT

As part of the “Neighborhood Center for conflict-affected people in Western Ukraine” project, the second stage of the grant season for young entrepreneurs in the Carpathian region has begun. The competition is being implemented by Hilfswerk International’s representative office in Ukraine with financial support from Nachbar in Not and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) to support self-employed individuals and micro-enterprises, with a focus on supporting women, sustainable development, the local economy, and social impact.

FOCUS AREA

Psychosocial Support and Social Integration Services

 Professional psychologists conduct individual and group sessions to provide mental health and psychosocial support.
An “Open Space” offers various activities that foster community interaction and provide a safe and inclusive environment for dialogue and connection.

Child Friendly Space

It fosters a supportive environment in which children can participate in informal educational activities that supplement their formal education. Educators offer diverse learning support services and organize creative, skill-building workshops, including IT training, art classes, and storytelling sessions, to promote practical skills and self-expression.

GBV Prevention Trainings

The program aims to strengthen knowledge and awareness of the prevention of gender-based violence through a community-centered approach.

Income and Business Opportunities Services

It promotes economic empowerment by raising awareness of income-generating opportunities and providing business grants, with a focus on supporting women. It offers targeted services and training in income generation and business development, prioritizing women-led or women-inclusive businesses, in order to foster innovation, self-reliance, and inclusive growth
